I attempted to do a series of long exposures out in the country a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t figure out why it was that just about every shot on the roll was completely dark. Because there was so little ambient light, I wanted to shoot wide open and take advantage of my Rolleiflex’s faster lens. Of course looking at this frame, seeing the star shaped light from the streetlamp, I realize that instead of turning the aperture ring to f/2.8 I turned it all the way to the smallest aperture instead.
