Amy and I are off to Buenos Aires and Montevideo tomorrow night for two weeks. I’ll still be uploading shots (thanks to loadlater.com), but I’ll be somewhat off the grid for the next couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to catching up with everyone’s work when I get back and sharing my pictures from the trip.
Tim Moreau visits Baltimore…
I got together with my new friend Tim Moreau for a few days last week. Tim contacted me several months ago after Michael Wriston (aka Boyghost) gave him my information. Tim is going to be making a film about the Baltimore club music scene, so I spent a few days in-between work, showing him my city. This was his first visit to Baltimore and the United States. He plans to come back in the fall to actually start filming.
Over the days Tim was here, it was really interesting to hear his impressions of the city and America. His intense interest in the music and people of Baltimore makes me all the more excited about his upcoming film. Unfortunately I know very little about Baltimore club music (luckily Tim had other contacts who knew something about it), so while I shared a number of aspects of the city with Tim, he was also able to show me a few things about Baltimore that I wasn’t familiar with.
